BLEACH[]

Good Noire, I'm feeling lazy. I actually don't even want to bother reviewing, even though BLEACH is at it's all time high (and Naruto still sucks more than a $9 whore), but, I'm sure there's at least one person out here who actually looks forward to my reviews, so, may as well put myself through Hell to bring it. Shunsui's continues his bad news from earlier, and half-way confirms my theory — Ichigo is indeed becoming far too powerful to be allowed back in the Human World, and if his power reaches that level with the Royal Guard, he may have to be kept in the Soul Society forever. So, while I'm quite possibly wrong about any promotion to Captain, I was right about being detained in the Soul Society.

Pilot Concept reused
....aren't THESE convenient?

To anyone who isn't aware, "Soul Tickets" are an unused concept Kubo originally implemented in the pilot chapter of the series that never made it. They were used instead of a konsō — in fact, it's probably the first thing we see Ichigo (who had black hair) doing in the series — and Kubo probably decided to implement them here. Heck, Giriko's "monster form" resembles Orihime's Hollow father (Hollow's lacked masks in the pilot, and also, Orihime died, praise God Himself). Nice to see Kubo doesn't forget old concepts like these. We then cut to Orihime and Chad who are (surprise surprise) doing nothing worth their panel time. We then cut to something much, much more interesting.

10-11
12-13
Cometh the Hour of our Reckoning, we will be ready

Cometh the Man who will Fight beside me and be steady
Cometh the Angel, the messenger from Hell we dreaded

Cometh the Devil's disciples, so we must be ready

Anyone besides me think Cometh The Hour fits too well? Anyway, as you can see, the ENTIRE SEIRTEITEI vanished, completely replaced by the Vandenreich....city? I want to say city. So, looking at how it was COMPLETELY erased, but Akon and company still seem to be in the same area, I'm beginning to wonder. What if the Vandenreich Castle wasn't on the FLIPSIDE of the Seireitei (like I've heard a few times since this chapter), but, what if it WAS the Seireitei? Like how Mars was used as a template to create Mundus Magicus in Negima, what if the ENTIRE SEIREITEI is an illusion that used the Vandenreich Palace as a template to exist when Blackbeard was defeated, and now that he's back, he's completely shattered their illusion?

NotAnInvasion

Not quite, I think that now bumps this up from "Invasion" to "Revolution". Blackbeard asks Ishida if he's familiar with the Kaiser Gesang (I wouldn't even try to pronounce that), to which he says yes, and we finally find out the full....song? Fairy tale? Anyway:

The Sealed King of the Quincy

Whose heart began beating after nine centuries
Whose reason and intelligence followed nine decades later
Whose strength came back nine years after that

And who finally conquered the world nine days later
The Last Nine Days

Apologies to actual Germans if I just butchered your language.

Naruto[]

So....there was nothing good in this chapter. I cannot stress how bad this series is getting, no matter how much people try to tell me otherwise. It was more pointless fighting, Obito showing off a hax new form of power that's similar to Dust Release but most likely incorporates Water Release into the mixture to account for the fluidity. He then proceeds to DECK the Kage's and Naruto and Sasuke, who, by the way, is still an utter asshole. The only good thing in this chapter? Hashirama and Madara are about to square off and that is LITERALLY all I care about, I cannot stress how much this chapter could have been skipped, both by my review and by Kishi and we would have missed nothing.

Now, someone bring in the scoreboard.

Score[]

BLEACH[]

Review scores
Category Rating
Art 10/10
Story 10/10
Fight N/A
Overall Chapter Excellent

Bleach's art is very good, and the effects of the Shadows revealing the Vandenreich City set this into the 10 I wish I could give Kubo every week. The story was 10/10, the Vandenreich are finally making their move, the END OF THE WORLD HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED, and the final battle is on the way! Overall, an Excellent chapter.

Naruto[]

Art 10/10
Story 1/10
Fight 2/10
Overall Chapter Bad

Naruto's art is always good. 10/10. The story, about 1/10. We didn't get anywhere, it was just senseless battle. 1/10. The fight is 2/10, because it was boring. Okay, so Obito now has Dust Release on roids, big whoop. Overall, a Bad chapter. I'm stuck with just this for the next 5 weeks?

TOM50Farewell

BLEACH and NARUTO are all done for today, and sadly, Kubo has announced that BLEACH will be on a five week hiatus while he builds up his energy and plans for the true final arc, The Thousand Year Blood War Arc - The Separation Story. The final battle is getting ever closer, but I don't we're getting the final chapter just as soon as Kubo gets back, I think BLEACH will continue well into the year, maybe next year if we're lucky. Sadly, I'm still gonna review Naruto on here during those five weeks....while I pity myself for having to review that mediocre series, at least just one series will be less work for a bit. I'll see you all next week.
